Appalachian giants sleeping. Grey, blue, green silhouettes; White dotted lines cut across a great american cloth. Miles on miles off in memory. Ghosts haunt, hang and hover like the morning mist. The sun burns it off, the giants rise, then I know I’m alive. The afternoon sky is a hammer beating down, blinding my eyes. Long at last, dusk comes forgiving me. I know I’m alright. Finding it easier to leave than to stay. Rushing in, rushing out through the infinite day. I’m losing myself in finding my way. Appalachian giants sleeping. Grey, blue, green silhouettes; White dotted lines cut across a great american cloth.

i dunno if i can put into words how much i ADORE la dispute's style, the music in Here, Hear. is so beautiful, it sounds god-like and mournful in a way, like something above humanity is trying to put its grief into words that humans will understand??? I LOVE IT roundestrow1et

great EP! i absolutely adore the way jordan narrates all these different people' stories -- he does it very gently and carefully. you can feel compassion through his voice. the instrumentation is also very calming and soothing, which adds up to the whole atmosphere of this album. gravewhistle

I love everything La Dispute have done as they have grown and blossomed creatively around Jordan's gut-punch michigan-dickensian prose, but this FUCKIN SONG. future wars dude. there might be songs that are technically louder or faster or whatever unfitting metric of weighing art is in vogue this year, THIS IS THE HARDEST SONG ON THE PLANET. THE HARDEST SONG. ON THE PLANET. it's only competitor within spitting distance is 'people you know' by DGD mancierge
